Its debut scalp care product, Amino Leave-In Scalp Bubble Treatment, supports overall scalp health and addresses dryness, flaking and increased hair shedding.

For a decade, Dyson has offered a technology-driven approach to haircare focused on preventing heat damage.
Backed by research into hair health, airflow, heat management and styling mechanics, the company released a styling appliance, Supersonic Nural, introducing a time-of-flight sensor that measures the distance from the scalp and automatically adjusts heat and airflow to help protect it from excessive temperatures.
In 2024, the brand launched its first wet styling products line. Chitosan Pre-Style Cream and Post-Style Serum contain the mushroom-derived complex macromolecule as the hero component. The formulas are engineered with Dyson “Triodetic” technology, which is said to lock in styles, strand by strand, with a lightweight structure of bonds. The range promises flexible, all-day hold with natural movement and shine, per the brand.
Now, Dyson is segueing into scalp health, a category officials call a “natural extension” of the brand’s evolution.
Dyson’s debut scalp product, Dyson Amino Leave-In Scalp Bubble Treatment, signals the brand’s long-term commitment to scalp health as an essential component of hair performance, officials said.
More than providing a sensorial effect aligned with current trends in personal care, Dyson’s “Bubble” treatment was designed specifically for delicate scalp skin. Engineered for targeted delivery over excess lather, its lightweight, foam-to-serum formula spreads lightly, evenly and with less friction than a tradition liquid or cream. The structure helps the formula glide across the surface without tugging, while avoiding the heavy, greasy residue that other scalp products may leave behind, makers say. In fact, according to the brand, in a clinical study, 94% said hair did not feel sticky or greasy after use.
“Once applied, the foam collapses into a concentrated serum,” Dyson’s Associate Design Manager Euan Bell told Happi. “That shift is what makes the format both gentle and highly efficient. The serum phase delivers active ingredients directly to the scalp without compromising the barrier or causing buildup, allowing it to perform at a high level while still feeling lightweight.”
The formula utilizes a blend of 11 amino acids. These acids are fundamental building blocks of keratin and play a role in maintaining moisture balance and structural integrity, according to Bell. The blend helps reinforce the scalp barrier, reduce visible flakes and create an optimal environment for healthier-looking hair growth. What’s more, the blend is combined with barley grown by Dyson Farming, with spent grain sourced from UK brewers, to support and strengthen the scalp barrier.
“Farming and beauty may seem worlds apart, but both are rooted in science,” explained Founder and Chief Engineer James Dyson. “Dyson Farming has been exploring how the quality of ingredients – grown, test and refined – can elevate performance in beauty.”
“Barley was chosen for its naturally rich nutrient profile – packed with vitamins, minerals such as iron and zinc, and antioxidants – and it aligned perfectly with the functional needs of our Amino11 complex,” said Bell. “These nutrients help nourish hair follicles, reinforce overall scalp health and create the ideal conditions for stronger, shinier hair.”
Another active ingredient, Ecotin Natural, helps shield cells against environmental stress while supporting moisture retention and helps defend the scalp barrier from external aggressors such as pollution and temperature changes. Niacinamide enhances the barrier while caffeine energizes the scalp.
“By reinforcing barrier resilience, it contributes to a more balanced scalp environment, which is foundational to reducing flaking and supporting hair retention,” added Bell.
According to officials, Dyson Amino Leave-In Scalp Bubble Treatment is clinically proven to deliver 63% less hair fall; 62% oil reduction; 88% reduction in visible flakes; and up to 65% immediate increase in scalp moisture.
Housed in NFC-enabled packaging, the treatment retails for $54.99 on dyson.com with rollouts planned for Sephora and Amazon this month.
